“The Mother of All Medicine…”

Principles of Ayurveda are as fundamental as the laws of nature. They operate around and within us, in the air we breathe that breathes life into us, the heat that warms and burns within us, the earth beneath our feet that holds us, feeds us, and gives us a sense of home.

Ayurveda is an ancient system of health and living that is as relevant  and powerful today as it was 5000 years ago.  In a nutshell it recognizes three major things:

  • You are More than just a body and a mind(science is trying to put it’s finger on this and is getting ever closer)
  • You have a deep and enduring connection to everything(and everyone around you) – in other words…everything you see, hear, taste, touch, smell, think has an impact(small or large) on your state of health and well-being.
  • You are a unique.  Which means you approach to wellness MUST be equally as unique.

The practical knowledge of Ayurveda sees health and happiness as a state of balance. A sense of equilibrium within and without. It teaches us that creating balance starts with becoming aware of our touch points, all the actions, people, places and things that make up our experience of life….everything from the cereal you had for breakfast to the newspaper you sit down with at the end of the day. Balance is a series of minor and sometimes major adjustments that require us to connect each of these points and understand the influence they have on our mind, body and soul, informing our ability to chose powerfully in support of what we’re committed to in life….

Our lives are a series of constant choices. If you can make the process of choosing more simple, more authentic and more connected to what you REALLY want, life becomes more of a wild adventure than a rat race.  That is the purpose and the process of living(even in a small way) Ayurveda!
