I'm Chara!
Ayurveda has taught me the value of holding space for ourselves and those we care for. It’s also given me profound tools and a deep understanding of what happens when we make the choice to trust the call from within to uncover and share who we really are. As yoga teachers we are uniquely positioned to engage in this important inquiry and to invite our students to engage in their own. I’ve created this course as encouragement and support for that adventure! Here's a litte info about my background...
Chara Caruthers is a passionate and outspoken voice for the power of living your truth. An international teacher, speaker, advocate, author and mentor for women’s wellness, she has inspired and motivated a global community of people of all ages to live juicier and more connected lives by embracing the principles of yoga and Ayurveda.
A long-time practitioner and student of yoga, Chara is a certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT), an Ayurvedic Practitioner(CAP- NAMA) and a senior yoga teacher (E-RYT500, YCEP, Level 2 Yoga Australia) who has taught yoga around the globe for more than a decade. She has studied and practiced Ayurveda in the United States, Australia and India and is a graduate of the American Institute of Vedic Studies (USA), the International Academy of Ayurveda (Pune, India), and Kerala Ayurveda Academy (Kerala, India). Her work is focused on sharing these ancient principles in a modern context empowering wellness seekers of all backgrounds and cultures to boldly embrace the responsibility we all have to know and love ourselves.

More Praise from past students...
“I would (and already have!) recommended this course to yoga teachers who want to grow their understanding of Ayurveda and how to begin to bring Ayurveda into their life and Yoga. It is a very approachable course for diving into the vast topic of Ayurveda. And it adds another dimension to teaching yoga."
“You have such a beautiful teaching style, which makes people feel comfortable right away. Everything about the way you show up is welcoming and accepting. I felt that everybody's questions were acknowledged and answered in a thoughtful and mindful way. The content is extremely detailed and rich with so much information, but you make it easy to understand and I didn't feel overwhelmed by it."
“The way you have connected Ayurveda and Yoga to Mental Health, Yoga Sutras, and not made it just about the Doshas and what you eat is brilliant. The permission to notice how one feels before making choices has really opened this up for me. It's not just all about the Doshas. These teachings really changed my understanding."
“This course has offered a wealth of information for my own personal application, as well as how to weave it into my work with clients and group classes.”
“As Yoga and Ayurveda are so interconnected I feel all Yoga Teachers would benefit from a deeper understanding + it provides another layer to what we can more confidently integrate/offer in our classes - I feel this will help what we (I) offer add more depth and is more aligned with broader 8 fold path of yoga. I feel the additional knowledge brings more authenticity to being a yoga instructor.”
“First of all, let me say how much I enjoyed every single second of this course. I could not believe how much I learned, how much I had no idea about, and how it has expanded my understanding of Ayurveda in an enormous way. I feel I can talk about this with some level of confidence to students without overwhelming them with facts. You have made it all so accessible! Just wonderful!
